*Gregory Wayne Oden, Jr.’ was born on January 22, 1988 in Buffalo, New York. He plays center for the Portland Trail Blazers.High SchoolGreg’s family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana when he was nine. There, he attended Lawrence North High School, graduating in 2006.CollegeGreg attended Ohio State University for one season, during which the team was the Big Ten Champion and the tournament runner-up in the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship.*NBA’On June 28, 2007, Greg was selected first overall in the NBA Draft by the Trail Blazers.
