Jabari Montsho Smith Jr. was born on May 13, 2003, in Fayetteville, Georgia in the United States of America. He stands 211 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 100 kg. He is right-handed and he is a power forward.

He is the son of former NBA player Jabari Smith Sr. He is also cousins with Kwame Brown who played in the NBA for 13 seasons.

High School and College Career

He attended Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia. In 2021, he was named Mr. Georgia Basketball. He also played in the 2021 Nike Hoop Summit and the Jordan Brand Classic. That year, he was also named a McDonald’s All-American.

Later, he committed to play for Auburn University and he was there from 2021 to 2022. At that time, he was named 2022 NABC Freshman of the Year. He was also given the 2022 Wayman Tisdale Award.

Professional Career

He turned pro in 2022 and was selected as the third overall in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. In 2023, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

As of the start of the 2024 season, he still plays for the Rockets.
