Natalie Achonwa is a professional basketball player from the United States of America. As of May 2022, she plays in the Women’s National Basketball Association for the Minnesota Lynx. He has been playing with them since 2021. Achonwa was drafted into the WNBA by the Indiana Fever. She has also played internationally for football clubs like the Dike Napoli and the Bucheon KEB Hana Bank. In 2015, she was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team. She then committed to attending the University of Notre Dame. While in Notre Dame, she was named to the 2012 Big East All-Freshman Team. She was also named to the First-Team All0Big East in 2014.

Career

Her professional career started when she was drafted into the WNBA in 2014 by Indiana Fever. She was their 9th overall pick in the first round of the draft. She played with Indiana from 2015 to 2020. During that time, she also played internationally for teams like Napoli and Buncheon KEB. She also played for Asan Woori Bank Wibee and Jiangsu Phoenix. In addition to Korean Basketball League teams, she also played for the French Team, Tango Bourges Basket.

In her rookie year in the WNBA, she was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2015. In 2019, she was awarded the WNBA Season-Long Community Assist Award. In 2021, she signed up to play with Minnesota Lynx.

Aside from her professional career, she also played in international events like the FIBA AmeriCup and the Pan American Games.
