Timothy Duane Hardaway Jr. was born on March 16, 1992, in Alameda, California. He is the son of retired NBA player Tim Hardaway.

Hardaway stands 196 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 93 kg. He is right-handed and he is a shooting guard and small forward.

High School and College Career

He attended the Miami Palmetto in Pinecrest, Florida. Later, he played college basketball for the University of Michigan and was there from 2010 to 2013.

In that time, he was named to the 2011 Big Ten All-Freshman Team. In 2013, he was named to the First-team All-Big Ten.

Professional Career

Tim Hardaway Jr had to fill the big shoes his father left in NBA history. Hardaway Jr is a great player of his own, as he earned media recognition and represented the country in the FIBA Under-19 World Championship in 2011. He was able to earn an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection and had a refreshing record for three-point shots when he was a freshman.

Hardaway Jr was also included in the 2015 USA Basketball National Select Team.

Hardaway Jr joined the 2013 NBA Draft, where he was selected by the New York Knicks. He gained recognition as he partnered with Trey Burke, and both of them became the first Michigan duo since the 1994 NBA Draft.

On July 8, 2013, he signed with the Knicks and played in the NBA Summer League Game. However, during the second game, he sustained a wrist injury.

Hardaway debuted on October 30, 2013, when the Knicks played against the Milwaukee Bucks. He also participated against the Chicago Bulls with only 27 minutes of playing points and has recorded 10 points with 3 rebounds.

By the following year, he joined the NBA Summer League again with a stunning record of 22.8 points per game, and the Knicks earned an NBA All-Summer League second-team recognition.

In January 2019, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. On his debut as a Maverick, he scored 15.5 points in 19 games, however, he was sidelined due to his lower leg stress fracture that needed an operation. He went back to the game on November 20, 2019, with 20 points under his belt. In August 2021, he resigned from a contract with the Mavericks.

As of the 2023 to 2024 season, he still plays with the Mavericks.
