Trevor Ariza is a professional basketball player from the United States of America. He plays in the National Basketball Association and has been signed to many different teams including the New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, and the Miami Heat to name a few. In 2009, he became an NBA Champion when he was playing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Trevor Anthony Ariza was born on June 30, 1985, in Miami, Florida in the United States of America. He stands 203 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 98 kg. He is a small forward and he shoots right-handed.

His stepfather played basketball professionally in Australia with the Sydney Kings. Early in his career, he considered switching his nationality to the Dominican Republic so he can play on the National Basketball Team.

High School and College Career

He attended Westchester High School and by his senior year, he was one of the top recruits in the country. He later committed to play for the University of California Los Angeles from 2003-2004. In 2004, he was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team.

Professional Career

In 2004, he declared for the NBA, choosing to forgo the rest of his college eligibility. He was picked in the second round and was the 43rd overall pick of the draft, selected by the New York Knicks. He stayed with the Knicks from 2004 to 2006.

He was later traded to the Orlando Magic before he was again traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He was a part of the Lakers team that won the 2009 NBA Championships. When he was done with the Lakers, he signed with the Houston Rockets and played with them through to 2010. The following season, he moved to the New Orleans Hornets before being traded again, this time to the Washington Wizards.

After his stint with the Wizards he was re-acquired by the Rockets in 2014 and he remained with the team through to 2018 when he signed a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns.

He was again traded to the Wizards in exchange for Kelly Oubre Jr. and Austin Rivers. In 2019, he signed a two-year deal with the Sacramento Kings but they traded him in 2020 to the Portland Trail Blazers. In 20201, he was traded to the Miami Heat before he was again acquired by the Lakers. The Lakers waived him in April 2022.
