High School and College Career

He attended Greenville High School in Greenville, Georgia. In 2011, he was named a McDonald’s All-American.

After high school, Caldwell-Pope committed to play college basketball for the University of Georgia and was there from 2011 to 2013.

At that time, he was named the 2013 SEC Player of the Year.

Professional Career

Caldwell-Pope turned pro in 2013 and was selected in the 1st round and the 8th overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, picked by the Detroit Pistons.

He played for the Pistons from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2021, he was with the Los Angeles Lakers and he won his first NBA Championship with the team in 2020.

In 2021, he was traded to the Washington Wizards. In 2022, he joined the ranks of the Denver Nuggets and in 2023, he was part of the team that won the 2023 NBA Championships.
