Patrick Beverley

Patrick Beverley is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He is currently playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. He also played in the basketball leagues in Russia and Greece. He was the 2012 EuroCup MVP. In 2017, he was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team. That same year, he was also given the NBA Hustle Award.

Patrick Beverley was born on July 12, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America. He stands 188 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 82 kg. He is a point guard and shooting guard and he shoots right-handed.

In 2007, he was featured in the documentary Hoop Reality, which was the unofficial sequel to Hoop Dreams from 1994.

High School and College Career

He attended the Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. Later, he transferred to John Marshall Metropolitan High School in Chicago, Illinois.

He committed to play for the University of Arkansas and was there from 2006 to 2008. While there, he was named the SEC Freshman of the Year and he was also named to the Second-team All-SEC.

Professional Career

Beverley started his professional career playing for Basketball Club Dnipro in Ukraine in 2008. In 2009, he was drafted into the NBA by the Los Angeles Lakers but he chose to return to Europe to play for the Olympiacos in 2009. Then he moved to play for Spartak St. Petersburg.

He did not make his NBA debut until 2013 when he started playing for the Houston Rockets and their NBA G League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

In 2017, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. That year, he received the NBA Hustle Award. He was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team.

In 2021, he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and in 2022, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. In 2023, he signed to play for the Chicago Bulls but he was waived and in 2023, he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.
