Aaron Gordon is an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He plays for the Denver Nuggets. He also used to play for the Orlando Magic. When he was a teen, he represented the United States in the FIBA World U19 Cup which was held in the Czech Republic. There, he was named the FIBA Under-19 World Cup MVP.
In 2023, he became an NBA Champion while playing for the Nuggets.

A right-hand shooter, he plays small forward and power forward.He is the son of Ed Gordon, who played basketball for San Diego State. He is also the brother of Drew Gordon who also plays basketball professionally. His grandfather is a Native American Osage Indian, who stood seven feet tall.
High School and College Career
Gordon attended Archbishop Mitty High School. He helped the team win two Division II State Championships. In 2020, the high school honored him by retiring his jersey number.He received several college offers in his senior year but he chose to commit to play for the University of Arizona. While there, he was one of the finalists for the Naismith College Player of the Year. He declared for the NBA in 2014, forgoing the rest of his college eligibility.
Professional Career
He was drafted into the NBA in 2014. He was the fourth overall pick in the first round by the Orlando Magic. He signed with the team on July 2. In November of that year, he was ruled out from active play after he fractured a bone in his left foot. He rejoined the team for the 2015 NBA Sumner League.In 2018, he re-signed with the Magic. In 2020, he was the runner-up in the Slam Dunk Contest. In March 2021, he was traded by the Magic to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for RJ Hampton and Gary Harris.
In 2023, he became an NBA Champion alongside the rest of the Denver Nuggets after they defeated the Miami Heat.
In addition to his professional career, also played for the United States in international competitions including the FIBA Under-19 World Cup where he was named the MVP.
