Courtney Vandersloot is a professional basketball player for the WNBA. She is currently playing for the Chicago Sky as the team's point guard. Vandersloot is known for being included in an All-Star team and having the highest the most number of assists in one season. She was also one of the leading performers in their first championship in 2021.

Courtney Vandersloot was born and raised in Kent, Washington, where she learned to play all kinds of sports. As a youngster, she loved to play with kids around her age, and sometimes, she would confidently play against boys. When she stepped into her third grade, she knew that she would like to become a basketball player when she grows up.

Aside from basketball, she also plays softball and soccer. Her personal favorite sportsman is Mia Hamm and desired to become like Hamm in the future.

She is currently married to Allie Quigley, her fellow point guard and teammate in Chicago Sky.

Career

When she was in high school, she was enrolled in Kentwood High School, but she did not consume her time playing basketball. Even so, her high school basketball performance was definitive and promising, as she became one of the best state players featured in the Seattle Times. This only led her to guarantee a spot in Gonzaga. Although she started as an underdog when she was in her first season, little did she know that she would mark a record of being the school's greatest point guard?

After college, she became one of the most likable prospects for the WNBA Draft in 2011. In fact, she was selected third overall by the Chicago Sky, which at that time needed a point guard. During her rookie season, she started the role of a regular point guard with a record of 26 out of 34 games. This earned her to be in the 2011 All-Rookie Team.

Apart from WNBA, she also signed with Besiktas, a Turkish basketball club. Every offseason, she would play basketball with Besiktas throughout the world, and would only return to WNBA during the season.
