Otto Porter Jr. is a retired professional basketball player from the United States of America. He played eleven seasons in the National Basketball Association, most recently for the Toronto Raptors.
In 2022, he won an NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors.

Otto Porter Jr. was born on June 3, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri. He stands 203 cm (6 ft 8 in) tall and his weight was last listed at 198 lb (90 kg). Porter is a right-handed small forward and power forward.Porter comes from a family with many accomplishments in basketball.
His father, Otto Porter Sr., was part of Scott County Central High School. His mother, Elnora Porter (née Timmons), helped the same school win the 1984 State Championship.
Many of his uncles, cousins, and his younger brother have also won state titles playing basketball.
High School and College Career
Porter attended Scott County Central High School in Sikeston, Missouri.Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Porter played college basketball for Georgetown University from 2011 to 2013.
In his sophomore season, he was named the Big East Player of the Year. He was also named to the First-team All-Big East that same year.
Professional Career
He was the third overall pick by the Washington Wizards during the 2013 NBA Draft.However, he injured his hip and was unable to play for 12 weeks. In 2014, he scored a career-high 21 points in a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. In the next season, he achieved another career milestone with 28 points in a victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
During the 2016 to 2017 Season, he recorded five three-pointers in a game against the Bucks. He was ranked fourth in the league in the three-point shooting percentage. Porter closed the season with several career highs and was considered one of the NBA’s most efficient scorers.
While the Brooklyn Nets offered Porter a contract on July 4, 2017, the Wizards matched their offer and retained him.
In 2019, he moved to play for the Chicago Bulls and was there from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, he had a brief stint with the Orlando Magic before he moved to play for the Golden State Warriors. While with the Warriors, he won his first NBA Championship in 2022.
In 2022, he signed with the Toronto Raptors. He was shortly traded to the Utah Jazz in February 2024 but the Jazz waived him. He later announced his retirement from basketball.
