Crystal Kelly was born on September 15, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Clarence and Henrietta Kelly. She is a professional basketball player in the WNBA.

Crystal attended Sacred Heart Academy. She helped lead her team to three straight KHSAA state championships. During this period, she was named a WBCA All-American. In 2004, she was also named as the Kentucky Miss Basketball. She scored 4 points when she participated in the WBCA High School All-America Games in 2004.

She finished her senior season averaging 14.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She also recorded 106 blocks, 133 assists and 91 steals. Crystal attended Western Kentucky University and played basketball for the Hilltoppers, from 2004 to 2008.

Crystal was selected in the third round of the 2008 WNBA Draft, the 31st pick by the Houston Comets. She signed as a free agent with the Sacramento Monarchs on May 18. She comes off the bench for the team.
