Friday, June 27, 2008 – The Atlanta Dream almost had a win tonight…. almost, but they couldn’t quite pull it off, falling in overtime to the Connecticut Sun, 109-101.
The Sun, fresh off a defeat from the Detroit Shock on Thursday, nevertheless had enough gas left in the tank to go four quarters and a bit to get the win.
Asjha Jones scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Tamika Whitmore added 28 points, and Lindsay Whalen poured in an additional 20.
For the Dream, Betty Lennox scored a career-high 44 points , grabbed 9 rebounds and had 7 assists. Ivory Latta put in 15 points, Kristen Mann added 11 and Stacey Lovelace 10.
The Dream will play the Detroit Shock on Sunday, June 29, in search of their first win.
