On Friday (20th February 2009) evening, a huge crowd of 18,076 people at the Bradley Center were held spellbound by LeBron James as he collected 16 points in only 2 minutes and 16 seconds. This was an exemplary and fantastic display of basketball from a player, who is arguably the greatest basketball player in the world. >
LeBron’s magic
In this game between Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks, the beginning was a very common one. James was in his common threatening mood, however the Bucks kept the tempo and surprisingly were leading for a large part of the first half. When 37 seconds were balance in the first half, the rookie 2nd round pick, Luc Mbah a Moute and a defensemen in his team picked James at halfcourt. The huge and noisy crowd responded by clapping. On the next possession, James displayed a triple from behind the 3-point line. When there were 4 seconds remaining, Cleveland got the ball and at the buzzer, James again scored. This scoring energized James so much that at the start of the second half, he displayed 4 more 3-pointers. All these points were scored in an incredible time span of 2 minutes 16 seconds. Also, all these points were scored without him being close to the rim. In this game, James was in tremendous form and in 40 playing minutes he accrued 55 points.
James remarked that this performance was amongst the top two individual performances that he had made. After viewing this game, one feels that it is an understatement to make that LeBron is one of the best players in the world.
