Los Angeles Lakers Tickets are skyrocketing as LeBron James comes close to breaking Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s scoring record.

James is just 89 points away from breaking Abdul-Jabbar’s record, which he will more than likely do in the next week or so.

The Lakers have two home games next week and are going to be going up against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Milwaukee Bucks. The ticket prices for these two games have increased by nearly 400%.

As of writing, the ticket prices are as follows:

Lakers vs. ThunderFeb. 7

Lowest price: $326Average price: $1,152Increase from the season opener: 390%

Lakers vs. BucksFeb. 9

Lowest price: $357Average price: $1,302Increase from the season opener: 175%

If James doesn’t break the record by Thursday, then it is almost certain that he will do it by Saturday in their game against the Golden State Warriors. The average ticket price for that game is now $850.

The scoring record that James will be breaking is 38,387, which Abdul-Jabbar scored throughout his playing career. He has held the record since he retired in 1984.

James, who is in his 20th professional season, scored his first triple-double of the current season on Tuesday night in their game against the New York Knicks. This makes him the first player in the NBA to score a triple-double in his 20th season.

James has also broken the records set by Steve Nash and Mark Jackson as the 4th on the list of the NBA’s All-Time Assist.
