Canada national baseball team

Canada is currently ranked 7th in the world IBAF rankings under Terry Puhl, former MLB player. Canada has participated in the World Baseball Classic, their only reported tournament along with the Olympics.

World Baseball Classic

Among the first 16 teams invited to play in the inaugural WBC, Canada was place in the Pool B alongside Mexico, South Africa and USA. The team was eliminated after the first round.

In the 2009 installation of the WBC, Canada hosted the Pool C games in Toronto and again failed to impress, losing a close game against the USA by a 6-5 and later losing 6-2 to Italy.

Canada was ousted with an 0-2 record and 6.35 runs allowed per 9 innings with 13th place overall.

Olympics

Canada participated in 2 Olympic games in 2004 and 2008, finishing 4th in 2004 and 1st in the final qualifying tournament in 2008.
