Czech Republic national baseball team

Czech Republic national baseball team is governed under the Czech Baseball Association and is currently not ranked under the International Baseball Federation (IBAF).

Under the management of head coach Arnošt Nesňal and pitching coach Patrick Ahearne the team is comprised of following players-

Baroch Petr, Blažek Jan, Bokaj Boris, Budský Pavel, Černík Jakub, Červinka Tomáš, Drábek Jan, Drong Martin, Gál Jiří, Hajtmar Jakub, Homolka Jan, Hrušovský Karel, Hušek Matěj, Chroust Radim, Jelínek Vojtěch, Jonák Jakub, Jurdzin Michal, Kubát Leoš, Marek Jiří, Minařík Petr, Mráz Daniel, Mráz Eduard, Navrátil Aleš, Němec Radek, Ondráček Michal, Petřík Ondřej, Polanský Tomáš, Procházka Radek, Schneider Martin, Toufar Jakub, Veselý Martin, Voják Jakub and Zýma Petr.

Domestic Achievements

Czech Republic regularly competes in the bi-annual European Baseball Championship since 1997, their best finish being fifth place in 2001 and 2005.

World Cup

Czech Republic will participate in the Prague Baseball Week ahead of the 2009 Baseball World Cup to be held in Europe. Czech Republic has won the tournament trice consecutively but here the main aim is to prepare for the World Cup. Most of the player selected for the baseball week will also be in a roster for the Baseball World Cup 2009.

Czech Republic is placed in the Group A of the World Cup alongside Australia, Chinese Taipei and Mexico.
