Ubaldo Jimenez is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic and plays mainly as a starting pitcher. In 2001, Jimenez’s career began after he was signed by the Colorado Rockies as a free agent in 2001. He played from the lower leagues, slowly making his way to the first team by 2008.
In his first full season as a Rockies player, he had a 12-12 record with a 3.99 ERA, which led to a 4-year, $10 million contract. Jimenez has been known to possess an exceptionally strong pitching arm that makes him a formidable opposition. His four-seam fastball has been known to touch the 100mph region.
