Chien-Ming Wang is a Chinese baseball player who serves as starting pitcher in the New York Yankees.
Wang was born on March 31, 1980 in Tainan City, Taiwan.

He was initially signed as an amateur free-agent for the 2000 season, playing for the Staten Island Yankees. He worked his way up through the Yankee farm system, making his debut in the majors for the Yankees in 2005.
