Women’s Doubles is a category of tennis played by four women - two in each team. This match is governed by a doubles rules and regulations which are slightly different from singles.

Many professional female tennis players compete in both singles and doubles.

Some famous doubles teams include sisters Venus Williams and Serena Williams, who together, won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles. Another successful pairing was Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver, who holds the record with 109 titles as a team.
