Mixed Doubles combines the skills of both male and female players. It requires good teamwork and communication between partners. This format is played at Grand Slam tournaments and the Olympics.

Famous mixed doubles pairs include Martina Navratilova and Bob Bryan, who won the US Open together. Leander Paes and Martina Hingis also had great success as a mixed doubles team.
