Mercedes Super 9

The Mercedes Super 9 was the former name given to the nine Association of Tennis Professionals Masters Series Tournaments. These were important tennis events held each year.

They were second only to the four Grand Slam tournaments in prestige. The tournaments took place in different cities around the world. They offered large prize money and many ranking points.

Winning these events was a big achievement for professional tennis players.

The name changed in 2009 to the ATP World Tour Masters 1000. Today, these tournaments are still among the most important in men's tennis.
