Love Game

A Love Game in tennis occurs when a player wins a game without their opponent scoring any points.

It's also called a shutout game. The score for a love game is 40-0 or "forty-love." Love games demonstrate a player's dominance in serving or returning. They can happen in any game of a set, not just the final game.

Love games are more common when there is a big skill difference between players.

However, they can also happen between evenly matched opponents. Winning a love game can boost a player's confidence and momentum in a match.
