The ATP, or Association of Tennis Professionals, is the governing body of men’s professional tennis.
It was formed in 1972 to protect the interests of male tennis players. The ATP organizes the worldwide top-tier tour for men called the ATP Tour. This tour includes prestigious tournaments like the ATP Finals and ATP Masters 1000 events.
The ATP Rankings determine the best male players in the world.
