Olga Govortsova

Olga Govortsova is a Belarusian inactive professional tennis player who achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 35 and a doubles ranking of World No. 24.

She is a former Junior World No. 1 and has won eight WTA Tour doubles titles during her career.

Olga Alekseyevna Govortsova was born on August 23, 1988, in Pinsk, Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union. She stands 182 cm tall and she plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand. She resides in Minsk, Belarus.

Professional Career

Olga Govortsova turned professional in 2002. Her career was marked by consistent performances in both singles and doubles. She achieved her career-high singles ranking of World No. 35 in June 2008 and won nine singles titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Her notable Grand Slam singles performance was reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2015. She also made it to the third round of the French Open in 2008 and 2009, as well as the US Open in 2012.

In doubles, Govortsova reached a career-high ranking of World No. 24 in August 2011.

She won eight WTA Tour doubles titles and one WTA 125 tournament title. Her best Grand Slam doubles results include reaching the third round of the Australian Open in 2011, the French Open in 2010, Wimbledon in 2012, and the US Open in 2009.
