Kornelia "Kea" Bouman, born on November 23, 1903 in Almelo, the Netherlands was a female professional tennis player who is the only, Dutch woman to win a Grand Slam singles title. She took the 1927 French Championship title defeating the South African Irene Peacock-Bowder in the final.

In the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, Bouman teamed up with the fellow tennis player from the Netherlands Hendrik Timmer to win the bronze medal in the mixed doubles. She again joined in a women’s doubles with the Spanish Lili de Alvarez, taking the title in the French Championships tournament.

Her highest World ranking was at No. 8 in 1928 after she consistently became one of the top ten in the year 1927 and 1928.

Bouman was a multi-athlete during her time. Aside from winning tennis tournaments, she also participated in other sports. She took the Dutch championship title in golf and joined the Netherlands national hockey team. She died on November 17, 1998 at the age of 94 in Delden.
