She grew up and was raised in the United States, they lived in Sarasota Florida. Thus, she is a citizen of France, Canada, and the United States. Her father introduced her to tennis when she was 10 years old.

Career

Two years later, she won the U.S. national 12-and-under junior title. It was 1989 when she became the youngest American player to make her debut on the professional tour, she was only 14 years and 2 months.
