Hans Nüsslein was a German tennis player and coach who was ranked as the World No. 1 professional. He won four professional major singles titles during a career that spanned more than three decades.

A posthumous inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2006, he is considered one of the greatest professional tennis players of his time.

Hans Nüsslein turned professional in 1926 and was a top professional player for over three decades, until his retirement in 1957. He reached the world No. 1 professional ranking in 1933.

Throughout his career, he won four professional major singles titles. He captured the U.S. Pro Tennis Championships in 1934, the Wembley Championships in 1937, and the French Pro Championship in both 1937 and 1938. In total, he won 27 singles titles. After his playing career concluded, Nüsslein became a well-regarded tennis coach.

For his contributions to the sport, he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2006.
