Career

Evert made her Grand Slam main draw debut in 1971, making it all the way to the semifinals of the US Open. In 1974, she won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open. She followed this up by winning the Wimbledon singles title.

In 1975, she successfully defended her French Open title. In the same year, she also won the US Open, striking a winning streak of 4 US Open wins through to 1978.

Her last Grand Slam title win was in 1986. It was her third back-to-back win at the French Open.

She was first ranked Number 1 in November 1975 and she helped the ranking for a total of 260 weeks. She has a singles career record of 1309-146 and she has won a total of 157 career titles.
