Juliette Atkinson was an American tennis player. She won a total of three U.S. Women's singles, seven U.S. Women's doubles and three U.S. Mixed doubles titles. In 1974, she was posthumously inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Juliette Paxton Atkinson Buxton was born on April 15, 1873, in Rahway, New Jersey, USA. She was the daughter of a physician from Brooklyn, New York. She stands 152 cm tall and she is right-handed.

In 1918, she married George B. Buxton and had no children. She also partnered with her sister, Kathleen Atkinson, to win two women's doubles titles. The two sisters, who were both natives of Maplewood, New Jersey, also faced each other twice in the singles semifinals.

Professional Career

Atkinson won three U.S. Women's singles titles, seven women's doubles titles, and three mixed doubles titles.

She won the Canadian Championships three consecutive times from 1896 to 1898. In 1899 and 1901, she won the doubles title and reached the singles final at the tournament now known as the Cincinnati Masters.
