Career

As a junior player, she won the 2006 ITF Junior World Championship. In 2007, she made her Grand Slam main draw debut at Wimbledon. She tried for the main draw of the US Open that year but only made it to the doubles draw. The following year, she was in the main draw of all four Grand Slams.

She has made it to a total of six Grand Slam singles quarterfinals. Her best finish so far is the finals of the 2021 French Open where she lost to Barbora Krejcikova. The second-place finish helped propel her to her career-high singles ranking of Number 11, reached in November 2021. As a doubles player, she has also made it to six Grand Slam quarterfinals.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won the Mixed Doubles gold medal while paired with Andrey Rublev. They beat Elena Vesinina and Aslan Karatsev.
