Mats Moraing

Mats Moraing is a German professional tennis player. He turned pro in 2013 and in March 2022, he reached a career-high ATP ranking of No.122. As of April 2022, he still holds the same rank.

Player Profile and Personal Life

Moraing was born on June 20, 1992, in Mülheim, Germany. His father is Heiner Moraing, and his uncle and coach is Peter Moraing. Both are former professional tennis players. Mats started playing tennis at a young age.

He stands 198 cm and is left-handed. He has a two-handed backhand and his weight was listed at 84 kg.

Career

He turned pro in 2013 and is coached by his uncle, Peter. Since turning pro, he has earned a little over US$500,000. He debuted in the ATP Challenger circuit in 2018. He has appeared in Grand Slam events but is yet to make it past the qualifiers.

His most recent Grand Slam outing was in 2021 when he made it to the third qualifier round of the US Open. Also, in 2019 he made it to the third qualifier round of the Australian Open. In the same year, he made it to the second qualifier round of the French Open and Wimbledon.
