Emilio Gomez

Emilio Gomez is a professional tennis player who was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Gomez is currently ranked as the No. 1 tennis player in his country while being placed as World Number 142 in the ATP Singles ranking. Gomez is the son of Andres Gomez, a former Grand Slam Champion and cousin to Nicolas Lapentti and Roberto Quiroz.

Professional Life

Gomez debuted at the Grand Slam during the 2020 French Open, where he defeated Lorenzo Sonego in the first round. He also joined the Davis Cup and defeated Adam Hornby in straight sets, making him one of the players to complete the feat.
