Irina Bara

Irina Bara is a Bulgarian tennis player, who specializes in the doubles tournament. As for her singles ranking, she had already achieved being at the World Number 112 as of June 2021. She managed to win the doubles title during the 2021 Transylvania Open with her partner Ekaterine Gorgodze. Bara was able to win the three doubles titles on the Challenger Tour, while 9 singles title more during the ITF Circuit.

Performances in Doubles

Although she performs well in the singles tournament, she still preferred to compete in doubles, where she has already entered the Top 100 since May 2019. Her most memorable result was when she entered the quarterfinals of the 2018 French Open with Mihaela Buzarnescu. In 2019, she also did the same thing in the Madrid Open.

She debuted at the Lyon Open in March 2020, and successfully defeated Timea Babos. Unfortunately, she was defeated by Daria Kasatkina during the second round. She also entered the 2020 French Open to compete for the singles title and had reached the third round. Perhaps her participation at the French Open helped her reach World Number 115 after she defeated top-seeded Sofia Kenin.

In May 2021, she played for the $100K event during an ITF final, however. she lost against Kate Volynets. She also participated in the French Open, however, she was defeated by Astra Sharma.
