Jared Palmer is a retired professional tennis player from the United States. As a singles player, he peaked at No.35 in the World Ranking in November 1994. As a doubles player, he was crowned World No.1 on March 20, 2000. He has won in the Men’s Doubles and the Mixed Doubles tournaments at three of the four Grand Slam events.

Career
Palmer started his tennis career playing in college for Stanford University where he won the NCAA Division 1 Singles title in 1991. He was a sophomore. He turned professional in the same year. As a singles player, he had great finishes in all of the four grand slam events including 2R finishes at the Australian Open and the French Open.
He reached his highest singles ranking in Nov 1994. He was ranked No.35 in the world.
His doubles career was more stellar than his singles. In March 2000, he was crowned the World No.1 in Men’s Doubles. In the same year, he won the men’s doubles tournament at Wimbledon. The year before that, he had bagged the Mixed Doubles title at the Australian Open and the US Open.
Other notable doubles and mixed doubles wins for Palmer include a Men’s Doubles win at the Australian Open in 1995. He also made it to the Semi-Finals of the men’s doubles event at the French Open in 1996 and the Men’s Doubles finals at the US Open in 2001.
