Frank Dancevic is a retired Canadian professional tennis player who achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 65. He was Canada's top-ranked singles player for several years and reached two ATP singles finals.

Frank Russell Dancevic was born on September 26, 1984, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. He stands 185 cm tall, and he plays right-handed with a one-handed backhand. He currently resides in his hometown of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

His mother, Doris, is from Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and his father, John, is Serbian. He has three younger sisters, Monika, Sonja, and Kristina. His sister Monika Dancevic also played professional tennis, achieving an NCAA singles ranking of No. 35. Frank is married to Serbian model Nikolina Bojić.

Early Life and Junior Career

As a junior, Dancevic was a top player, reaching a world singles ranking of No. 20 in 2001 and a doubles ranking of No. 3 in 2002.

His best Grand Slam singles result as a junior was reaching the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships boys' singles. In doubles, he and his partner, Giovanni Lapentti, won the Wimbledon Championships boys' doubles title in 2001.

Professional Career

Dancevic turned professional in 2003. He was a dominant force in Canadian tennis for a number of years, holding the country's top singles ranking from 2006 to 2010. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 65 in September 2007.

Dancevic reached two singles finals on the ATP Tour, at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships and the Eastbourne International. He also advanced to the quarterfinals of the Canadian Open in 2007. In a unique achievement, he became the first men's singles player to enter the main draw of all four Grand Slams in a single calendar year by playing the qualifying competition for each event in 2011.

After his playing career, Dancevic transitioned into coaching and became the captain of Canada's Davis Cup team in 2017. He retired from professional tennis in 2020.
