Carlos Berlocq

Carlos Berlocq is an Argentine former professional tennis player and coach who achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 37. Known by his nicknames "Charly," "Panther," and "Warlocq," he won two ATP singles titles.

He was a key member of Argentina's victorious Davis Cup team in 2016 and was known for his love of playing on clay courts.

Professional Career

Berlocq turned professional in 2001. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 37 in March 2012. He won two singles titles on the ATP Tour and reached the second round of the Australian Open three times, the French Open five times, and the US Open twice.

In doubles, he won two titles on the ATP Tour and achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 50 in June 2011. His best Grand Slam doubles result was reaching the quarterfinals of the US Open in 2014. A significant highlight of his career was being a member of the Argentinian Davis Cup team that won the title in 2016. Berlocq retired from professional tennis in December 2019 and has since become a coach.
