Frederik Lochte Nielsen is a professional tennis player from Lyngby, Denmark. He is the top player from Denmark according to the ATP Doubles world rankings. His career-high ranking in doubles is number 17 and was the champion in the 2012 Wimbledon Championship men’s doubles together with partner Jonathan Murray of Great Britain.

The 6-foot-3-inch Nielsen started playing tennis at a tender age of three after being encouraged and influenced by his parents who were also tennis players. He jumped into the professional world of tennis in 2001, at 18 years old. During this time, he started competing under the ITF circuit and had been winning titles in the singles division every year from 2005 to 2010. This was also the time when he made his ATP and Davis Cup singles debut. By 2004, he quickly rose up in his ranking when he started playing doubles with Rasmus Norby. From 2005 to 2011, Nielsen continued to win titles in both singles and doubles in both Futures and Challengers tournaments.

From 2012 to 2014, achieved some of his greatest feats in his tennis career. In 2012, he won the Wimbledon doubles championship and reached the semifinals of the ATP Finals. In 2013, he earned his highest career ranking. This was also the year when he reached the quarterfinals of the ATP Tour Masters 1000. By 2014, he won an ATP doubles title. After 2014, he concentrated on playing doubles.

In addition, he made a good number of achievements under the Grand Slam Doubles including reaching the third round during the 2019 Australian Open and the quarterfinals during the 2020 French Open. He also was able to reach the second round during 2012, 2013, and 2016 US Open.

Under the ATP Challenger and ITF Futures finals, Neilsen achieved a singles record of 14-15 in the ITF Futures and 0-3 in the ATP Challenger. In the doubles division, he was able to achieve a 28-10 record in the ITF Futures and 32-17 in the ATP Challenger.
