Lara Arruabarrena is a female Spanish professional tennis player born on March 20, 1992 in Tolosa.

Arruabarrena started playing tennis when she was 8 years old. By 15 years old, she went to Barcelona to receive training from the Spanish Federation. She started playing professionally in 2007and played her first events in the ITF circuit.

In 2010, she had her first WTA qualifying match at Marbella and Barcelona. In the following year, she played her first two WTA main-draw events. After winning her first title at Bogota and qualifying in other matches, she debuted in the top 100 at number 91. She finished the season at world rank number 77.

She had her third consecutive top 100 season in 2014 as she reached the quarterfinals at Batad, Bucharest, and Bogota. Arruabarrena reached the semifinals at Bastad and Nurnberg as well as the quarterfinal at Marrakech.
