Margarita Gasparyan is a female Russian professional tennis player born on September 1, 1994 in Moscow. She started playing professionally in 2010 and plays right-handed with one-handed backhand.
Her coach is Carlos Martinez.

Gasparyan started playing tennis at the early age of five. She played at her first WTA qualifying event at Moscow in 2010. In 2012, she won four ITF single titles and three ITF doubles title as well as her first WTA main draw. She won one singles title and two doubles titles in the ITF division in 2013.

She achieved a singles title and two doubles titles in ITF once more in 2014. In 2015, she won the WTA title in Baku and debuted at the top 100 world rankings in August of the same year. A knee injury hampered her performance and she returned to the game in 2017. She claimed WTA title at Tashkent in 2018 and finished the season at world ranking number 105.

Since turning pro, Gasparyan has a career record of 197 victories and 110 losses. She also won 2 WTA and 9 ITF career titles in singles. In doubles, she has a career record of 112 victories and 56 losses. The highest rank she achieved was at No. 41, which she attained on February 2016. Currently, she is ranked at No. 61 as of June 2019. Gasparyan still has to win a Grand Slam tournament but has already made appearances at the four Grand Slam events.
