Zarina Diyas is a Kazakh professional tennis player who was born on October 18, 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Diyas stands at 5 feet and 7.5 inches, and plays right handed. Alan Ma currently coaches her, and she turned pro in 2009. Diyas started playing tennis when she was just 6 years old.

Diyas started playing in the ITF Circuit in 2007, and was able to participate at her first WTA qualifying in Prague in 2008. She attempted to qualify for several years, but was not able to rank significantly. It was in 2014 that she was able to reach her first Top 50 season, and was a runner-up at Osaka.

The following year, Diyas attempted to replicate her performance, but was able to reach only No. 52 rank. She also reached the quarterfinal round at Hobart and Shenzhen, and is known for reaching fourth round of the Australian Open and other events.

In 2016, Diyas also suffered from a wrist injury, which is the reason she was not able to play in any of the tournaments during the said year. She made a successful comeback in the following year by winning the Tokyo international and ending 2017 at rank number 66.

So far during her career, she has obtained a record of 280 matches won and 193 matches lost. Diyas also has 1 WTA title plus 8 ITF Circuit titles. Unfortunately, she has yet to win a Grand Slam tournament. The farthest that she has reached is at the fourth round in Wimbledon. The highest rank Diyas was able to attain was at No. 31, which she reached in January 2015. As of May 2019, Diyas is at No. 98.
