Mirjana Lucic-Baroni is a Croatian professional tennis player who was born in Dortmund, West Germany on March 9, 1982. Lucic stands at 5 feet and 11 inches, and is currently coached by Marin Bradaric. She is married to Daniele Baroni, and speaks English and Croatian. She started playing tennis when she was 4 years old after following her sister to tennis practices.

Lucic has been around for quite some time, playing her first ITF event in 1996. The following year, she had her breakthrough performance and landed near the Top 50. When she won her first WTA title, she was playing at Bol and was still an unranked qualifier. She was the fifth-youngest player so far to win a WTA title.

During the early 2000s, Lucic struggled a bit with her performance, and was not able to reach the high ranks for a while. In 2014, she was able to reach her first Top 100 season after a drought of 15 years. Her determination to improve has reaped rewards as Lucic was finally able to get back to the Top 50, ending her year at No. 32.

Since turning pro in 1997, Lucic has a career record of 395 matches won and 313 matches lost. She has 3 WTA titles to her name, plus 4 ITF titles in singles. The highest rank she was able to reach was at No. 20, which she achieved in May 2017. As of March 2018, however, she is at No. 79. She also does not have any Grand Slam titles in singles, but has 1 title in doubles for the 1998 Australian Open.
