World number nine Janko Tipsarevic says he’s playing the worst tennis he’s played in a long time after going down 6-0 6-4 to Juan Martin del Potro at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The Serbian was ripped apart by the big Argentine, having lost his opening match 6-3 6-1 to Roger Federer

“I’m playing horrible, I’m playing worse than horrible, I’m playing the worst tennis that I played in a long time,” Tipsarevic said.

Meanwhile, Federer got past David Ferrer 6-4 7-6 (7-5) in a tight encounter where the Spanish world number five had his opportunities.

“I think he showed why he’s so tough to beat today,” Federer said. “He makes you hit an extra shot, he makes it physical. You know that mentally he’s not going to go anywhere.”
