Rafael Nadal starts Training

Tennis Superstar and former World No.

Tennis Superstar and former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal started tennis training last Monday, which only lasted for an hour and 15 minutes. His coach and Uncle Toni Nadal checked out first how Rafael would feel, making sure that there is no pain during the play.rafael nadal

The Spaniard was unable to defend his title in the Wimbledon finals on June 2009 as well as the Davis Cup due to his right knee injury. He started to suffer from tendonitis in 2007.

Nadal is hoping to return and play at the Montreal Masters by August 10, 2009.

“Until I’m 100 percent, you have to be realistic,” Nadal said. “What’s left of the season is going to be difficult because, after stopping for a month — practically two — you lose your rhythm while others continue on competing.”

After Nadal left the 2009 Wimbledon tournament to rest for his recurring knee injury, his long time rival, Roger Federer took the championship title which was his 15th Grand Slam, making him now the World’s No. 1 tennis player, again. Nadal now takes the No. 2 rank. These two players have been playing against each other since 2004, and so far their rivalry has been considered the best in tennis history.

“Without a doubt, I also have one advantage over Federer — that I’m 23 years old,” said Nadal.
