Elena Rybakina extends her winning streak to 12 wins after beating Martina Trevisan 6-3, 6-0 in the Miami Open quarterfinals.

She delivered 10 aces against Trevisan. She has improved 20-4 in 2023, including her run to the finals of the Australian Open back in January and her Indian Wells win last week.

She is trying to become only the fifth player in the history of women’s tennis to win the Sunshine Double in the same season. However, she does say that she does not feel any pressure to win.

“For sure I don’t have any pressure,” Rybakina said.

“I know that it’s very difficult and not many players did it. Plus I was match point down the other match, so I really don’t think so far in the draw.”

“I just need to focus match by match, and I have a tough opponent. Of course, it would be amazing to achieve something like that, but it’s still far away.”

This was the first meeting on tour for Rybakina and Trevisan.

Rybakina got the first break of the match and as the match went on, Trevisan struggled to keep the ball out of Rybakina’s strike zone.

The win and the 10 aces made her the first woman to hit more than 10 aces in four consecutive matches.
