Marie Bouzkova Wins Her First Ever WTA Title

Marie Bouzkova proudly held her 1st WTA trophy as she won in Prague Open against Anastasia Potapova.

This is notably her 4th WTA final. Before this victorious moment, she lost to Sloane Stephens when they faced each other at Guadalajara, Mexico last February. She had also eliminated World Number 2 Anett Kontaveit in the quarterfinals, making her a player to watch out for. The result for their match is 6-1 6-1.

The Czech tennis star was ecstatic about her victory and joined the cheering crowd with her. At the moment, she told the press that she is extremely happy with what she had attained in the tournament.

Potapova, on the other hand, was known to be a Wimbledon quarterfinalist. Even so, it didn’t daunt Bouzkova to fight harder to win the title. They finished the match within 1 hour and 11 minutes.

The 21-year-old Czech was most remembered when she played in Istanbul, Turkey where she won her first WTA title.
