Bautista Agut was proud of his achievement because it’s been a while since he last played clay court tennis. This is his second clay performance since 2014 at the Stuttgart Open. What made it special for him is that he won his second title after his Doha performance this year.
He was a dominant player, as he was able to break his opponent’s tactics and gameplay twice in each set. The 20-year-old Misolic counted this experience as another milestone of his career as this is his first ATP final event.
Bautista Agut proudly mentioned how he managed the pressure and how good of a player Misolic was. Earlier before their face-off, the hopeful Misolic defeated Yannick Hanfmann from Germany.
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz is set to proceed to the final round of the Croatia Open, noting his seventh ATP final. Alcaraz also won a maiden ATP title in the same event last year.
Despite a roll of his ankle, he managed to defeat Giulio Zeppieri with a result of 7-5 4-6 6-3. Alcaraz is bound to play for the final round and face top-seeded Janik Sinner, who defeated Franco Agamenone.
