Djokovic is currently tied with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at 20 major singles titles, that’s why many tennis fans are debating over the internet on who should they considered as the Greatest Tennis Player of all Time.
Among them, Djokovic is the youngest and might have the chance to go beyond the other two’s records. Currently, Nadal and Federer are still under rehabilitation due to injuries they have acquired from the sport. Both of them have also missed major ATP Tours, such as the Indian Wells.
While Nadal is preparing for the Australian Open next January, Djokovic is still unsure whether he will participate in one of the most prestigious ATP events. On the other hand, Federer is sure not to join the Australian Open since he is still recovering from his injury.
Sampras cannot help to remark, that even though Djokovic fell short of completing the Grand Slam, still he’s sure that Djokovic may have only seen this as a bonus because he won many events in 7 years.
Sampras also said that Djokovic will learn to appreciate his winning titles when he grows older, especially since he was being consistent in being the World Number One player for seven years. This is the clearest sign that he should be declared as the tennis’ “GOAT”.
