He now had won his 3rd ATP title in 2021 after rallying when he broke down in the first set, eventually beating Busta with 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.

The Moselle title is Hurkacz’s first indoor title and the first title he has from outside the US. The Polish player also defeated former world number 1 British Andy Murray in the quarterfinals.

During the tournament, Hurkacz did not drop a single set. The Wimbledon semifinalist had nine aces. However, twice he dropped serve against second seed Andy Murray.

After rallying from a breakdown in the first set, Hurkacz started to dominate the match more from the baseline. He even broke the Spaniard’s serve four times. Hurkacz said that Pablo was a fantastic player. Thus he needed to raise his level.

The Polish’s other titles in 2021 are from the Delray Beach and the Miami Masters, both outdoor hard courts.

On the other hand, Kwon Soon-woo of South Korea was the victor in Kazakhstan’s Astana Open. This was his maiden ATP Tour title, and he became the 9th first-time winner on the tour this 2021 after beating James Duckworth 7-6, (8-6), 6-3.

Meanwhile, Briton Liam Broady won against Swiss Marc-Andrea Hustler in Biel, Switzerland 7-5, 6-3. This is his first ATP Challenger title.
