The seal dribble is a type of dribbling in football, wherein players are flicking the ball unto his head. Then the player would run past the opposing team while bouncing the ball using his head. This is called Seal dribble because they are imitating how the seal bounce the ball on his forehead, as seen in the circus. However, using this as a defensive stance will give the player extra difficulty to defend the ball legally.

One of the most popular uses of seal dribble is Atletico Mineiro's player Dyego Coelho's dribbler, which led to a foul against him. This eventually results in a 120 days suspension, however, the team appealed for him after five games. Kerlon, on the other hand, is a prolific seal dribbler. Another popular dribbler is Marco Nappi, an Italian footballer and became popular during the semi-final of the 1989-90 UEFA Cup. Nappi picked the ball up, then made the ball bounce in his forehead in a 40-meter run.

Kerlon is second to Nappi as the world's most popular seal and he is once known for his unique dribbling called "Dribe da Foquinha". This move has eventually led him to be on top of the career. However, in September 2007, unfortunate things happened when he played against Cruzeiro. Amidst playing the seal dribble, Cruzeiro cleared him out and made the game look like a circus.
The Seal Dribbler's Impact to the Spectator
This dribble has been known to create a huge entertainment for the spectators, however, it seemed to be the other way around for the players. It might look good, but its consistency is difficult to maintain. The seal dribble is used for defensive play, for not getting the ball easily by the opposing team. Even so, this would make an inconsistent move to the past around the opposing team.

It's been 12 years since someone made an amazing seal dribble. The Corinthian's Angel Romero from Paraguay was able to make it as a Football Youtube Sensation. Although this kind of dribble is yet unwise, the comeback had created a hilarious foul against the opposing team. Nevertheless, Romero's exhibiting the dribbling skill was remarkable.
