Under-soil hatingis a way to heat the underside of the football pitch in football stadiums that have grass as their main surface. It is done so as to avoid any bad weather building up and spoiling the pitch.
Under-soil heating method is now commonplace in European football stadiums. Most of the clubs in the Barclay’s Premier League have this system installed in their stadiums. In England the first stadium to have under-soil heating system installed was the Highfield Road stadium that was home to Coventry City.
